OpenXava 4.2.3 released OpenXava 4.2.3 released

XavaPro 5.9 released

May 29, 2018

The OpenXava team is pleased to inform you that a new version of XavaPro is already available.

XavaPro 5.9 has the next new features:

  • Collection totals available in mobile UI.
  • Welcome page shown in mobile UI when accessing to root.
  • Improved UX for log in with mobile UI, before the user clicked on "Sign Up" instead of "Sign In".
  • Removed action from top bar menu in mobile UI.
  • Default action is shown the first one on bottom with mobile UI.
  • New users have "user" role by default.
  • Includes OpenXava 5.9.

Collection totals in mobile UI

If you have defined totals in your collection using @ListProperties, in this way:

@ListProperties("product.number, product.description, quantity, pricePerUnit,"
    + "amount+[parent.vatPercentage, parent.vat, parent.totalAmount]")
private Collection<Detail> details;

Then in the mobile UI the totals are shown below the collection elements in its own frame, as following:

Welcome in mobile UI

Until now the Welcome page was not available in any way from mobile UI, so the user got the Sign In page when accessing to the application, something not very friendly in many case. From now on, when user goes to the root of the application from mobile he gets the Welcome page:

The page is the same used for the desktop version, that is welcome.jsp, you can create a responsive page to work on both desktop and mobile. The default one includes a link to the Sign In page. If you want to go directly to Sign In page,like before, just put a forward in welcome.jsp to the SignIn module.

Improved UX in with mobile UI

For example the Sign In page now is:

Note that we have move the "Sign in" buttom from top button bar to bottom. Not just for SignIn module but for all modules there are no longer actions on top bar other than navigation ones, and the default action of the controller is the first one on the bottom of the UI.
